The service will utilise the NSS12 Satellite's East Africa Ku Band capability and land at a teleport in the Netherlands, connecting remote regions of East Africa directly to Europe.

    "We believe we have been able to put together a number of very competitive packages", said a spokesperson for the company, "this service will complement our existing iDirect satellite offerings". The service will operate with a 1.2m Ku Band antenna in most regions.

    Countries covered by the new service include Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Ethiopia, North and South Sudan, Eritrea, Malawi, Djibouti, DRC and Zambia, bringing affordable communications to businesses and organisations in the region.

    Telstream Telecoms has access to a network of installers on the ground in East Africa to allow for economical and efficient service and installations, all hardware is readily available for quick shipment.
