  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) August 24, 2012 - As part of its 10 Months of Thanks initiative, the Tekcetera, Inc. team spent the summer partnering with local Orange County organizations in an effort to give back. Tekcetera, known for its dedication to doing what it takes to provide comprehensive and cost-effective technology services to businesses small and large, launched its 10 Months of Thanks initiative as a way to say thank you to the Orange County community that has supported it for the last decade. Past events include donating toys, serving food to the homeless, walking for wishes and supporting veterans. Throughout the next four months, the Tekcetera team can be found sending care packages to military troops, offering a free computer training workshop, hosting an electronics drive and more.

Kicking the summer off at the beach, Tekcetera teamed up with Orange County Coastkeeper in June for a morning of coastal conservation in celebration of World Oceans Day. Wearing its signature blue Tekcetera t-shirts, the team along with 100 other volunteers, began the morning at Huntington State Beach in Huntington Beach, Calif. combing the shore and picking up trash and debris. At the end of the event, more than 40 pounds of trash was removed. Following the beach cleanup, the team saddled up in July and headed to Anaheim Hills, Calif. for an afternoon with Canyon Acres Children and Family Services, an organization that supports neglected, abused and emotionally troubled children. Dressed in head-to-toe western gear, the Tek team partook in arts and crafts and ran a rodeo themed relay.

"We had a blast this summer working with Orange County Coastkeeper and Canyon Acres Children and Family Services," said John S. Pitts, president and founder, Tekcetera, Inc. "Both organizations represent causes that we are passionate about, clean and safe beaches and child advocacy. It was truly an honor to work with both organizations and a wonderful way to spend the summer."

For the last decade, Tekcetera, Inc. has provided reliable, cost-effective infrastructure solutions, cloud services, managed IT services, Microsoft specialty consulting, Avaya and Cisco telecommunications, web design, ecommerce solutions and more to businesses throughout Orange County. The Santa Ana-based technology company is celebrating its 10-year milestone anniversary by giving thanks. The company's 10 Months of Thanks initiative will culminate at a hosted reception during the month of November, appropriately around the Thanksgiving holiday.
