  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) October 17, 2012 - Tekcetera, a Santa Ana-based technology services provider, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with its 10 Months of Thanks initiative. Inspired by its corporate culture where loyalty to the Orange County community runs deep, this endeavor was established to give back to those who have supported Tekcetera for the past decade. Throughout the past eight months, the Tek team has volunteered at a soup kitchen, donated toys to a local children's hospital, walked for wishes, grilled out for veterans, picked up trash at the beach, mentored at-risk youth, sent care packages to U.S. troops overseas and hosted an online contest to provide a local nonprofit with a website makeover. For its ninth month, Tekcetera will team up with Microsoft to host a complimentary workforce readiness workshop on Oct. 18.

Tekcetera will offer a free hour-long instructional course on the Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel programs to help give unemployed individuals a better opportunity to succeed in their job search and future careers. The class will take place at the South Coast Plaza Microsoft store in Costa Mesa from 11 a.m. to noon, and will be led by a Microsoft-certified trainer. Seating is limited and individuals are required to RSVP at pr ( @ ) tekcetera dot com dot

"At Tekcetera, we are known for doing what it takes to ensure our client's technology works every time," said John S. Pitts, founder and president, Tekcetera, Inc. "Our philosophy also extends to our community and doing what it takes to help those who could use an extra helping hand. The workforce readiness workshop will provide attendees with useful information and tools for the future. We invite those on the job hunt, staffing agencies looking to place employees, and those who want to brush up on their Microsoft skills to join us on Oct. 18 to learn more."

For the last decade, Tekcetera has provided reliable, cost-effective infrastructure solutions, cloud services, managed IT services, Microsoft specialty consulting, Avaya and Cisco telecommunications, web design, ecommerce solutions and more to businesses throughout Orange County. With its 10 Months of Thanks initiative coming to a close, the Tekcetera team will host a wrap party on Thursday, Nov. 15, for friends, family, clients and partnering nonprofits to reflect on and celebrate the past 10 months of thanks.
