  • (1888PressRelease) February 15, 2013 - Banff, Alberta, Canada - Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort today announced the launch of the Grizzly Terrain Park, set to open just in time for the Family Day long weekend.

The newly designed park, which will see its first opening since the 2010-2011 ski and snowboard season, will open with one jump line and include an uprail, 25-foot table and 40-foot table. Additional lines and features will also be added throughout the season.

"Thanks to the outstanding efforts of Sunshine's terrain park crew, we will be able to increase Sunshine's terrain park offerings leading into this holiday weekend," says Dave Riley, Chief Operating Officer of Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort.

Additional features of the newly designed park include a more streamlined look for ease-of-flow. The park will be located just under the Rogers Terrain Park on the number 37 Grizzly ski run.

All of Sunshine Village's terrain parks are built using 100 per cent all-natural snow. Using industry leading snow farming techniques, trail crews have been capturing snow throughout the season to build and maintain all of the resort's parks.

In addition to the launch of the Grizzly Terrain Park this weekend, Sunshine Village offers guests both the Rogers Terrain Park, located under the Continental Divide High Speed Quad Chairlft and the Springhill Park, located off Green Run ski trail under the Angel High Speed Quad Chairlift.
