    Event Synopsis:
2021 brings new and stricter cybersecurity requirements to all organizations within the supply chain to the US Department of Defense (DoD). Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), a program to curb the theft of sensitive defense information by foreign adversaries, begins its rollout this year, as do stricter measures to enforce compliance with existing cybersecurity requirements. Compliance, and ultimately certification by an independent third-party auditor or CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) will become a pass-fail requirement for companies to do business with the DoD.

For many organizations, satisfying these requirements will require time and investment, and a commitment to achieving and maintaining cyber maturity from the top. Businesses should adopt comprehensive cybersecurity compliance and risk management programs and engage qualified, experienced partners to help them achieve CMMC efficiently.

In this program, regulatory compliance experts Leslie Weinstein (CMMC Consulting LLC) and Stuart Itkin (Coalfire Federal) will discuss why organizations need to use a risk lens in planning to achieve CMMC compliance. Speakers will also share best practices for organizations to build cyber maturity to meet their contractual and regulatory obligations and ensure cybersecurity compliance.

This LIVE Webcast will discuss the following:
    • How CMMC and the Interim DFARS Rule Affects You in 2021
    • The Importance of a Risk-Based Approach to Cybersecurity
    • How to Build Cyber Maturity and Prepare for CMMC Certification
    • Best Cybersecurity Compliance Practices
