Starting today, Starbucks coffeehouses across the U.S. and Canada will offer a new line of Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foams, delivering up to 36 grams of protein per Grande (16 oz.) beverage.

    This launch is a key component of the company’s "Back to Starbucks" strategy, focusing on menu innovation and meeting evolving customer needs.

    The New Protein Lineup
    The protein offerings are built around two key innovations: Protein-Boosted Milk and Protein Cold Foam, allowing customers to choose their preferred level of protein and flavor.

    New Featured Drinks on the Permanent Menu:
    Protein Lattes (Hot or Iced): Crafted with Starbucks signature espresso and Protein-Boosted Milk-a daily fresh blend of 2% milk and premium whey protein. These lattes, including the Sugar-Free Vanilla Protein Latte, deliver approximately 27 to 36 grams of protein per Grande.

    Protein Cold Foam Drinks: Building on the popularity of cold foam, these drinks feature a creamy, frothy topping that adds about 15 grams of protein per Grande beverage. Featured cold foam drinks include:
    Iced Banana Cream Protein Matcha: A vibrant matcha latte topped with Banana Protein Cold Foam.
    Iced Vanilla Cream Protein Latte: Creamy espresso topped with Vanilla Protein Cold Foam.
    Chocolate Cream Protein Cold Brew: Smooth Cold Brew layered with Chocolate Protein Cold Foam and vanilla syrup.

    Customization and Choice
    Starbucks is giving customers the power to customize nearly any beverage:
    Protein Cold Foam: Available in a variety of flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, matcha, and a plain unsweetened option, for an added boost of approximately 15 grams of protein.
    Protein-Boosted Milk: Customers can substitute Protein-Boosted 2% Milk in any hot or iced milk-based beverage for an added 12–16 grams of protein per Grande.

    The new Protein Lattes and Cold Foam drinks will be available year-round in U.S. and Canada stores starting September 29, 2025.
