  • Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine, CA (1888PressRelease) April 09, 2011 - Southern Californians will get a rare opportunity to step aboard and compare nearly 250 of the West's largest and most luxurious big boats and yachts April 28-May 1, when the Newport Boat Show returns to Lido Marina Village for its 38th year. The annual exhibition is California's premier big boat and yacht show, presenting more boats in the water than any other event on the West Coast.

Along with eye-popping multimillion-dollar yachts, the show will feature a wide selection of 35- to 65-foot pleasurecraft -- including sportfishers, long-range trawler yachts, sport yachts, family cruisers and motoryachts. Show-goers can explore more than 400,000 square feet of floating dock exhibits and boardwalk displays, and they will find an incredible selection of boating accessories and services along with the big boats and yachts.

Most of the larger vessels are better appointed than the average shoreside home, with a dazzling array of advanced technology and onboard creature comforts. These luxurious yachts often come equipped with multiple big-screen flat-panel video screens and entertainment systems that would put most theaters to shame; gourmet galleys outfitted with granite countertops, gleaming stainless fixtures and high-end appliances; leather and exotic wood-trimmed interiors; and multiple helm station control panels that rival those on jet aircraft.

Whether you're looking for the latest yacht, advanced marine electronics and gear to outfit your present boat, or essential yacht services -- including marine financing and insurance -- you'll find it here at the Newport Boat Show. For more than three decades, the Newport Boat Show has become well known as the West Coast's total one-stop shopping experience for boating enthusiasts and potential buyers. This is one boating event that is definitely not to be missed.

Lido Marina Village is located at Via Lido and Newport Boulevard in Newport Beach, one block south of Pacific Coast Highway. Show hours are: noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 1. Admission is $12 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Free offsite parking and continuous shuttle service will be available. Visit www.newportinwaterboatshow.com for details.
