  • (1888PressRelease) December 28, 2012 - Again, one of the organic wines of Vinos Cambronero, from Fuentealbilla (Albacete, Spain), has won an international award, which confirms the high quality of the organic vineyards of Spain. The organic red wine Franchete Barrique 2005 has won the silver medal at the International Organic Wine Contest recently held in German. A contest in which winemakers have participated more than 20 countries.

    Franchete Barrique 2005 has won this award for their outstanding quality, as assessed by more than 50 jurors from 14 countries, who gathered the last December 11 in the German town of Neustadt.

    Franchete Barrique 2005 is an excellent wine made by grape variety Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bobal and Garnacha tintorera. Produced in traditional winery with controlled fermentation temperature, with frequent over pumping and average maceration, and matured in oak barrels for three months, her colour is cherry red with purplish tinges. Have strong bouquet, combination of fruity aromas, with toasty and dark-roasted scents. Is balanced and round on the palate, with a smooth and slightly tannic finish. Recommended temperature 15-18ºC for serving.

    This excellent wine has previously been awarded the silver medal at the XII Tasting of wines Ciudad de Córdoba (2006) and the bronze medal at the National Contest of wines from organic grapes EcoRacimo (2008). Had 89 points by "Peñín Guide 2009" and won the silver medal at the VI Tasting of wines from organic agriculture Ciudad de Estella-Lizarra Hiria (2010). Perfect for accompanying stews, beefy meat and cured cheese.

    The wine winner will be officially announced next February 13 during Biofach, the most important fair of organic products around the world. In 2013, this fair will be held from 13 to 16 February, in the German city of Nuremberg, with the presence of so-called 'Wine Hall', where we will present the wines of the winery Wines Cambronero, with this award-winning wine in Hall No. 5, stad 252.

    In last edition of Biofach, over 2,420 exhibitors presented their products and innovations ecological best-sellers by companies and producers from 130 countries. Wines Cambronero will also be present with their excellent wines in other international events such as taking place in the French city of Montpellier, to be held from 28 to 30 January. We will be in Hall No. 12, Booth 11.

The exquisite wines are made exclusively from organic grapes from teh vines of the family farm of Cabernet-Sauvignon, Bobal, Tempranillo and Garnacha tintorera.

    Other wonderful wines from this Spanish winery in La Mancha have also achieved significant awards including the Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (Paris, April 2008), the Golden Mezquita (the last four editions), EcoRacimo Silver Finalist in 2008 and ecological Texu 2007, among others.
