    The project was started with two students from the Hamburg School of Business Administration, Germany, for two months at Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd. in India.

    This project is the brainchild of Mr. Sunjay Kapur, MD & Vice Chairman, Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd. who is promoting this initiative personally. Sunjay Kapur himself is currently pursuing the Owner President Management program at Harvard Business School. He is very passionate in mentoring the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Given our existing relationship with Germany though our entity Sona BLW Prazisionsschmiede GmBH, we saw two promising students whom we met in Germany and that's when this idea came up to harness this as an opportunity for creating a leadership programme; Hence the Global Scholar Programme. With a pilot batch with our international students we were testing waters.     For a start, Sona will be inducting up to 5 global scholars in a year into the programme and contribute to international learning. The next leg of the programme is expected to be launched in XXX 2013.
