  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) September 09, 2014 - Smashburger, the nation's fastest growing "better burger" restaurant, today announced that it will donate a portion of sales from its Irvine restaurant's grand opening week to Irvine Public Schools Foundation.

The weeklong fundraiser, designed to support the community and give back to Irvine public schools, kicks off on Sept. 17 and will conclude on Sept. 24. In addition, the City of Irvine will graciously match Smashburger's donation amount to IPSF.

The mission of IPSF is to enrich the educational experience of each child in every school. The foundation achieves this by providing enrichment programs, raising funds, and uniting the community in support of educational excellence.

"With school back in session and the opening of our fourth Orange County location, we thought it was perfect timing to partner with IPSF and give back to the Irvine community," said Stephen Sandoval, owner and operator of Smashburger.
At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. It starts with 100-percent fresh, never frozen, all-natural Certified Angus Beef and is smashed on a 400-degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, the delicious burgers are served on toasted artisan buns and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses, and highest-quality condiments.

The fourth Orange County location to open in less than two years is located at 3831 Alton Pkwy in Irvine, Calif. and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
