Singapore-based SLF Industries Pte Ltd, the company behind Schnell LiFi, recently demonstrated its high-speed, light-based wireless connectivity solution to one of Japan’s largest electronics firms. The private demonstration, held in January 2025, marks a major leap forward in in-flight entertainment and passenger connectivity.
During the session, both companies evaluated the Schnell LiFi Access Point and USB Dongle Module in simulated aviation environments. The aim was to assess the technology’s real-world performance inside aircraft cabins — providing secure, high-speed data transmission without interfering with existing avionics systems.
Redefining Wireless at 30,000 Feet
Unlike traditional in-flight WiFi, Schnell LiFi delivers data using light instead of radio frequencies. This reduces interference and increases speed, security, and efficiency — essential for streaming media, banking, and productivity while flying.
