    Shaky Knees Music Fest takes place in Atlanta, Georgia annually. At this Music Festival all local, regional and international artists gather up to perform. Tim Sweetwood, the founder of the festival named it after a song “Steam Engine” from his favorite Music Band Morning Jacket.

    Shaky Knee Festival was established in 2013 after Tim noticed that there was a wide gap between festival in Atlanta specifically music festivals. Being a local promoter Tim felt the need of such a Music Festival that would foster the musical need of people and that should include all the artists which were neglected in all other festivals that existed already.

    Tim wanted a Festival that would focus more on indie side than mainstream, unlike all the other big music Festival Tim envisioned a festival that would bring something different to people and he wished to see how well his efforts are appreciated. Keeping this in mind the First Shaky Knees Music Festival was held in a Park next to a venue Masquerade. In his first show Tim included acts inspired from Popular groups and people like Jim James, Band of Horses and the Lumineers. The Show sold 9000 tickets a day and even went sold out.     From its beginning to the present the festival has witnessed tremendous success. The last five years have been very important specifically 2015 was a great year for The Shaky Knees Festival.
