  • (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2013 - DUBAI, United Arab Emirates: Sennheiser Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems, today announced the worldwide launch of the Neumann KH 310 A, an active near-field audio monitor, at the CABSAT broadcast, digital media and satellite expo being held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 12-14 March, 2013. This compact horizontal-oriented cabinet is specifically designed for diverse acoustical environments and use in music production, broadcasting, post-production, mixing and mastering.

Sennheiser also conducted the regional launch of Digital 9000, a revolutionary digital wireless system that sets a new benchmark in digital wireless transmission even in dense frequency environments and can transmit completely uncompressed audio, artefact-free and with boosted dynamics.

Mr. Mig Cardamone, sales and marketing manager, Sennheiser Middle East comments, "Sennheiser prides itself as a company that is at the forefront of technological innovation. Neumann KH 310 A and Digital 9000 are both audio masterpieces, offering unprecedented sound quality and ease of use. We see a healthy uptake of these systems by discerning customers in the Middle East who are uncompromising in their quest for quality."

The KH 310 A is a versatile monitor excellently suited for use as a front loudspeaker in medium-sized surround systems, or as a rear loudspeaker for larger multi-channel systems. The monitor's alloy fabric dome housed in an elliptical Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD) waveguide produces extremely low-distortion of high-frequency audio. A dedicated mid-range driver handles the mid-frequencies essential for speech and vocals while the monitor's long-throw bass driver ensures low distortion even at high sound pressure levels. Furthermore, to maintain production consistency, any KH 310 A can be "pair matched" to any other KH 310 A.

Digital 9000 is targeted at broadcasting professionals, musical theaters and high-profile live audio events. The system, which includes the EM 9046 receiver, SKM 9000 handheld and SK 9000 bodypack transmitters, and a comprehensive suite of accessories, has been meticulously designed for the highest channel counts in today's increasingly dense frequency environment.

Earlier this week, the audio solutions specialist gave its Middle East partners and users a sneak preview of the Neumann KH 310 A and Digital 9000, as well as demonstrations and training on its wireless systems, MKH range of microphones and the Neumann range of studio monitors and contact center audio solutions at the Sennheiser Sound Academy. This education and enablement seminar took place in conjunction with the Dynamic Events Conference, an increasingly popular sound, lighting and video technology industry event in Dubai, where Sennheiser was the main audio sponsor.

"The Middle East is proving to be one of the fastest growing markets for our audio solutions and we have seen a large amount of interest being expressed by both our customers and partners in the region. By hosting the Sennheiser Sound Academy and participating in key industry shows such as the Dynamic Events Conference and CABSAT, we are educating the community and raising awareness about our latest products and innovations," says Mr. Cardamone.

"Judging by the success of the Dynamic Events conference, we are confident that it is set to become a key event in the industry calendar. Our sponsorship and participation is an expression of our support, dedication and continued investment in the industry in the Middle East."

Mr. Mufid Othman, senior broadcast engineer at Dubai Government Media Office, says, "The Sennheiser Sound Academy seminar is an excellent initiative. The technical demonstrations were interesting and informative and I am already looking forward to the next edition."

Commenting on his experience with the use of Sennheiser products, he continues, "We installed a conference wireless system from Sennheiser at a VVIP location three years ago and are very impressed with the quality and ease of use of the company's products. We intend to extend the relationship and carry out some more such installations in the near future."
