  • (1888PressRelease) September 19, 2014 - Los Angeles, CA - FourPoints Television announced that Season 5 of The Aviators is launching today on iTunes. The highly anticipated season premiere, which can be accessed at itunes.theaviators.tv, is The Aviators' best ever, featuring 13 all-new episodes that can be downloaded individually or in its entirety as a season. The announcement follows the season premier of another FourPoints production, Air Boss, which skyrocketed to the top of the iTunes charts just hours after its online debut on August 2nd, 2014.

"We are very proud of what we have accomplished with The Aviators over the last five years," commented Anthony Nalli, producer and creator of The Aviators. "While our television viewership is an integral component of our distribution strategy, we are reaching many new fans through iTunes and all our digital distribution partners. While all of our fans are passionate, we find they are more likely to engage with us over digital mediums - this gives us important feedback for our programming and also builds long term loyalty for our brand."

While being eclipsed in the media by major network television reality programs like Duck Dynasty, The Aviators and other FourPoints productions have remained focused on production quality and topical content, and have quietly been amassing long-term, loyal viewership. The Aviators already has four successful seasons under its belt, with each of them remaining on the iTunes charts for two full years. The Aviators Season 3 premiered in the #3 position in 2012, with the 2013 season reaching #2, and Air Boss debuting at #1 last month. Add to that a 600% increase in the program's Facebook Likes since the release of Season 4 last September, and you have a recipe for exponentially increased viewership.

Season 5 of The Aviators features the return of Sara, a fan favorite host. Content for this season is once again engaging and diverse - the production crew takes a visit to the world's highest control tower, gets dusted by the real version of Disney's Dusty Crophopper from the movie "Planes," and meets Yves Rossy, the world famous "Jet Man" who flies without an aircraft. Fans can download the new season of The Aviators now at itunes.theaviators.tv.
