  • (1888PressRelease) September 19, 2010 - Seanarmstead.com has added three very helpful instructional videos to the blog section of the site. This new feature is a free resource for those wanting to get into kettlebell training. It is a great addition to the wave of free features being added to the site, including the free PDF downloads available for users.

The instructional videos cover the Kettlebell Clean, Kettlebell Jerk, and the Kettlebell Rack.

The Kettlebell Clean is a move down to get the bell to the rack position. Depending on the resistance it works the hips, legs, all aspects of the back, biceps and grip. It can be done dead (bell on the floor), hang or swing. If you want to develop explosive strength do the hand then move on to the dead clean over time. Strength and conditioning can be developed doing sets of 5-30 reps. Always striving for precise, efficient execution.

The Kettlebell Jerk or the one arm jerk is a fabulous lift for total body involvement. It is a very technical lift and must be studied and practiced to work up to excellence (doing long sets 10+ min).

The Kettlebell Rack is the position to rest the bell on the body. The bell lies diagnolly across the palm. Fingers tucked behind handle except the index finger. Elbow is on hip (when possible) to launch the bell. Knees are straight with hips forward. Wrist not flexed. From the rack you press, push press, jerk or half snatch.
