With this new patent, RPost aims to license the technology to thousands of marketers, tech firms, and cloud platforms, while signaling its intent to pursue legal action against infringers.
This move strengthens RPost’s already aggressive stance on intellectual property enforcement, as it currently battles major firms like Adobe, Docusign, and Canada Post in court over other email-related patents. CEO Zafar Khan emphasized the company's commitment to protecting its innovations, stating the link-tracking patent is rooted in specs submitted back in 1999.
