Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation presents the 34th Annual Ojai Wine Festival
After a 2-year hiatus, the Ojai Wine Festival returns to Lake Casitas to support the Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation's numerous philanthropic endeavors.
- Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) March 31, 2022 - For 34 years, the Ojai Wine Festival has served as the primary non-profit fundraising effort of the Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation and its numerous philanthropic endeavors. This year, proceeds from the Ojai Wine Festival will benefit local charities including HELP of Ojai, Secure Beginnings, Ojai Unified School District, and support the free Ojai Community Band concerts in Libbey Bowl in July and August. Historically, proceeds from the Ojai Wine Festival have donated more than $1,400,000 to Rotary’s charity efforts around the world.
This year, event participants of the 34th Annual Ojai Wine Festival can taste wines from all of California’s unique growing regions in one beautiful lakeside location. A lavish profusion of over 30 highly regarded boutique wineries, garagiste winemakers as well as world-renowned wine producers will be sampling their wines. Over 20 local, regional, and international craft beers will be available for tasting. Eventgoers can enjoy an enchanting silent auction, browse talented artisans’ fine jewelry, art, and wine-inspired home décor pieces and accessories while enjoying a lakeside dance floor and live music from local band Area 51. A selection of gourmet food trucks will also be on-site selling culinary creations all day. The Sommeliers of the American Riviera will conduct a wine judging for participating wineries at the event with Gold, Silver, and Bronze level award certificates.

In 1987, the Rotary Club of Ojai-West launched a small wine-tasting event to bring fine wine and craft beer together for Ojai Valley Residents. Now in its 34th year, the Ojai Wine Festival has grown into a regionally recognized signature fundraising event that attracts thousands of people from Northern, Central, and Southern California. All proceeds directly support various charitable causes including improving education, low-income families, and supporting activities that enrich the lives of area youth. This year’s principal international project is Polio Plus, the worldwide fight to end the paralyzing disease polio.

The Sommeliers of the American Riviera conduct a live wine judging as wineries compete for gold, silver, or bronze level awards. The atmosphere is enhanced by a steady stream of live music by Area 51 and a lakeside dance floor.
