  • (1888PressRelease) July 26, 2012 - The new premises, in Camborne's College Road, were officially opened by local MP George Eustice, who had also opened their original showroom in Redruth's Fore Street in 2010. This was followed by a move to a new distribution and installation depot in 2011.

Speaking at the opening, owner and managing director Bob Kerr attributed Rodda and Hocking's steady growth to their willingness to respond to market conditions and their approach to building customer relations. "Without a doubt, it's our focus on good customer service and making sure we keep abreast of the changing market place that's made the difference to our business through this economic gloom."

Rodda and Hocking have been installing uPVC windows and doors in Cornwall for over 30 years. This experience and local knowledge has ensured a continuous flow of repeat business. Strong growth in the conservatory market has also had a marked impact on turnover and the company is now installing 2 to 3 conservatories per week, in addition to their usual window and door contracts. This volume enables the company to keep a permanent building team fully occupied laying bases week in week out. It also ensures a constant quality of work so the customer is assured a premium service.

Winning the Gold Customer Care Awards from the Consumers Protection Association for the last 3 years would seem to bear this out. A portfolio of their installations also won silver and bronze in the Installation and Design category of GGF's (Glass and Glazing Federation) National Awards against competition from conservatory companies from all over the UK.
