  • Las Vegas, NV-AZ (1888PressRelease) December 04, 2011 - RMI Management, a FirstService Residential Management company, and Nevada's largest community management company, has recently expanded its operations into southern Utah by adding Edelweiss Condominiums in the resort town of Brian Head to its portfolio of managed properties. Edelweiss becomes the second RMI-managed property in Utah, the first being The Kimball timeshare condominium community in downtown Salt Lake City.

"We are excited to take this step to expand our footprint in the Utah market," said Kevin Wallace, President and CEO of RMI Management. "Over the past year, we have worked on growing our business not only in Nevada, but also through expansion into Utah. There are many great opportunities in the Utah market and we are positioning our company to take advantage of those."

Taking on the Edelweiss property was not without its challenges. "When the Edelweiss board of directors came to RMI seeking our management services, the property was in a state of disrepair that had caused county officials to 'red tag' the building seven months prior, making it uninhabitable by the residents," said Sherry Mason, RMI Community Manager for Edelweiss. "Within three weeks of commencing management of Edelweiss, we obtained permits, had plans approved, selected a contractor and coordinated the work so that the property could receive its Certificate of Occupancy. The Certificate of Occupancy was issued one day prior to the first snow fall of the season, making it possible for residents to enjoy their condos during the upcoming ski season."

The Edelweiss board of directors has been thrilled with RMI's service. "RMI took on our account with enthusiasm, dedication and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and in a mere three weeks, was able to solve all of the issues that were preventing our re-occupancy," said Mark Morris, Edelweiss Board President. "We can now look forward to enjoying a great ski season and this would not have been possible without RMI's dedication."
