Reviewers Sought for PMBOK Guide Software Extension

  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) December 05, 2012 - The purpose of the Software Extension to the PMBOK Guide is to provide guidance to software developers and their managers related to project management of software development projects, and the use of iterative project management methodologies (including Agile approaches) in conjunction with the PMBOK Guide.

    The public review period is an opportunity for anyone interested in management of any type of software development projects to review the SWX-PMBOK document and provide comment. The Core Committee for the SWX-PMBOK project consists of members from both the IEEE Computer Society and from PMI, and the Extension is being developed in compliance with PMI and IEEE Computer Society processes.

    The document is available for review from 10 December 2012 to 10 January 2013. All review comments may be made public. Names, email addresses, affiliations, and/or other identifying information of reviewers will not be made public.
