  • Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) July 10, 2013 - It was a spring full of manicures, pedicures, makeup and more at Remington College student salons around the country.

Remington College recently wrapped up its fourth annual Prom Night Makeover program, where high school students headed to prom were able to get complimentary salon services, courtesy of students and instructors in the Remington College Cosmetology Program.

This year, Remington College provided more than 550 complimentary salon services; that brings the total number of services provided to more than 2,700 since the program began.

"We know salon visits can be very expensive," said Dr. Mike Lanouette, Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Remington College. "We wanted to do our part to make sure students could look and feel their best when they went to prom and not have to spend a penny."

Each Remington College campus with a cosmetology program participated, including Baton Rouge, Cleveland, Columbia (South Carolina), Dallas, Houston Westchase, Houston Greenspoint, Houston Webster, Lafayette, Memphis, Mobile, Nashville, Tampa and Honolulu.

Remington College's Cosmetology program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training in the Remington College School of Cosmetology, which allows students to work with real clients.
