Remington College Provided More than 2,400 Complimentary Back-to-School Haircuts This Summer
Remington College students and instructors have provided more than 12,000 free haircuts through Cuts for Kids program.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) October 04, 2013 - Remington College has passed a major milestone with its annual Cuts for Kids program. In August, Remington College provided more than 2,400 free back-to-school haircuts at its campuses around the country. That pushed the total number of free haircuts provided to more than 12,000 since Cuts for Kids began five years ago.
Each summer, Remington College cosmetology programs provide complimentary back-to-school haircuts for kids 17 and under.
"Cuts for Kids is a way for us to serve the community and help families save money on back-to-school expenses," said Dr. Mike Lanouette, Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Remington College. "It also gives our students a lot of hands-on experience working with clients, which is an important part of our curriculum."
The Remington College Cosmetology Program takes a hands-on approach to teaching students the art of hair, skin and nail care. The program is available at thirteen Remington College campuses: Baton Rouge, Memphis, Tampa, Houston (three locations), Cleveland, Mobile, Lafayette, Nashville, Dallas and Columbia (South Carolina) and Honolulu.
Each campus has a full-service, salon-like environment where students can learn and practice hair care and styling, nail care and artistry, and make-up application.
