  • (1888PressRelease) September 12, 2014 - DUBAI, UAE - Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced that it will demonstrate its latest innovations in cloud computing and virtualization technologies at GITEX Technology Week, 12-16 October, 2014. Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss how Red Hat's Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions - Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure, Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform and OpenShift by Red Hat, its Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering, can be used for the gradual adoption of cloud, offering a path to increased IT value during each step.

Red Hat is a strong advocate of the open hybrid cloud computing model and believes that the open approach - based on open standards and open APIs - is essential to protecting businesses against costly vendor lock-in. The open hybrid cloud approach can translate to increased productivity, optimized assets, and scalability of applications across physical, virtual, private, and public cloud environments.

"As a leader in enterprise open source software, Red Hat will be demonstrating how it can create an enterprise class IT environment to support business objectives to regional CIOs and IT managers attending GITEX. This is also a great opportunity for them to speak with the Red Hat team about the latest developments in the company's cloud portfolio and understand how their companies could benefit from these solutions," says Faycal Saile, general manager, Middle East, Africa and Turkey, Red Hat.

At GITEX, Red Hat will showcase its OpenStack-powered product offerings focused on delivering an open hybrid cloud, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform, which provides an integrated and optimized foundation for building OpenStack clouds, bringing together trusted Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat's OpenStack technology.

Red Hat will demonstrate its open hybrid cloud management product, Red Hat CloudForms, which enables organizations to build and manage hybrid clouds accompanied by self-service, policy control and application lifecycle management.

Also in the spotlight will be OpenShift by Red Hat, a cloud computing PaaS solution designed for on-premise or private cloud deployments. OpenShift enables enterprises to deliver cloud applications faster, helping them to meet growing application demands. Red Hat helps enterprises harness the power of the cloud through its compelling combination of public (OpenShift Online) and private open source PaaS offerings (OpenShift Enterprise) which provide easy-to-use and flexible environments for application developers and give them the freedom of using their choice of programming languages and frameworks.

GITEX attendees can visit stand number CLD-18, located in Hall 6, for a chance to meet with the Red Hat team.
