    Dr. Kincaid is a Senior Scientific Officer in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, where he provides guidance on translational strategies that address the needs of infectious disease. He did both his undergraduate and graduate work at Stanford University, and has held positions as a tenured intramural investigator at the NIH (1977-1993), a Director of Cell Biology at Human Genome Sciences (1993-1994), the President and CEO of his own company (1995-2009) and Scientific Director of major R&D programs for biological defense at the Department of Defense (2009-2013). Dr. Kincaid has served on scientific advisory committees for DHS, CDC and FDA and currently works on interagency working groups that address needs and priorities for diagnostics and antimicrobial resistance.
