Each week, a designer is eliminated from the competition after exhibiting their work in front of a judges' panel. Heidi Klum will strip off for 'Project Runway'.

The 38-year-old beauty has agreed to bare all in the promotional campaign for the upcoming ninth series of the TV competition, which she has hosted since 2004. Lifetime TV president and general manager Nancu Dubic - who stepped in a year ago to revamp the channel's reputation - said she chose the naked image of Heidi realising that she didn't need to look any further for a "brazen, strong, confident and sexy" model who embodied the channel's new values. She said: "It's Heidi fighting Klum!"

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Heidi posed for the pictures last week but has not yet signed off on the final images to be used. This is not the first time Heidi - who raises four children with husband Seal - will have stripped in public.

I love Project Runway - got hooked on it last year, and this year it's even more fun, what with the challenges being even more, well, challenging. If you ignore all the overblown ego crap - and there's a lot of it (not naming names, but you know who you are, Santino) and just watch it for the creativity factor, it's very inspiring.My favorite challenge so far was when the designers had to design outfits for each other - that was particularly creative, especially when they had to model them on the runway.

This year, I especially admire Chloe, who never participates in any of the cattiness or ego games, she just stays high-minded, focused and sticks to her work, turning out brilliant outfits week after week. I think she deserves to win, hands down.
