Professional Basketball Player Jason Thompson Joins Net Results Summer 2012 Boys Basketball Camp At Rider University

  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) July 07, 2012 - NBA basketball player Jason Thompson will join Net Results Basketball Camp at Rider University beginning July 9th- 13th and July 29th-August 2nd. The 2-week camp operated by Net Results will aid in the development of male athletes ages 8-18. A typical camp day features various fundamental activities, workouts, individual and small group instructions and lectures from Rider staff and nationally recognized speakers including Rider University's Head Men's Basketball Coach, Kevin Bagget and special guest and Rider men's basketball Alumni Jason Thompson.

    Thompson led the Rider Men's Basketball team to a school record 23 wins and MAAC Championship in 2008. That same year he was selected 12th overall in the NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He now returns to Rider University to co-host this year's Net Results Summer Basketball camp with the aim to inspire and influence boys who wish to reach their athletic potential. "Hopefully, I can help a kid fulfill a dream or at least, put him on the right track. The kids seem to like hearing my story." says Thompson.

    Thompson will greet campers during registration on Monday July 9th and participate in camp activities throughout the week. An official Press day will be held on July 13th at 1:00pm.
