  • (1888PressRelease) February 14, 2011 - In Co-operation with Dr. Colin Wallace, Zenlinks Ltd., a Hong Kong based consultancy firm specializing in Organizational Effectiveness and People Management, will launch PRISM in Asia in March 2011.

PRISM is an online-based people development and assessment instrument for identifying human behaviour and enhancing performance. The PRISM Model of Human Behaviour has been developed by the Center of Applied Neuroscience and can be used at any level of an organization where interpersonal relations are important - from customer facing departments to the boardroom. PRISM has been designed to simplify the complex physiological workings of the human brain and translate them into a practical multipurpose management and development tool.

Dr. Colin Wallace, PhD in Neuropsychology, who played a significant role in the development and design of the PRISM suite of instruments, will facilitate PRISM practitioner certification programs in Malaysia from March 23rd - 25th 2011 and in Hong Kong from March 29th - 31st 2011.

Expansion into other Asian markets under the leadership of Zenlinks Ltd is planned for 2012.

"Today's competitive talent market demands creative and individual solutions to find the best fit for a company's human capital and business strategy. In China alone the number of graduates per year increased from 1.14 million in 2002 to 6.1 million in 2009. It is forecast that the number of graduates will reach 7.6 million by 2011 as per a KPMG report. Quantity does not equal quality and corporations aim to improve the quality of hire and reduce the cost of recruitment," says Ian Radley, Managing Director of Zenlinks Ltd.

"Behavioral development instruments help corporations to optimize their talent selection strategies and assist to identify individual and team strengths. Selecting the best fit for the company and job avoids unnecessary employee turnover and increase the return on investment of recruiting and training staff."

PRISM has recently been the subject of a two-year university study using Cronbach Alpha coefficients to measure inter-item correlation for internal validity. The outcome of a validation study indicates the effectiveness of assessment instrument. Coefficients range from 0, indicating no relationship between an assessment tool and future job performance, to 1.0, which indicates a 100 percent correlation between a tool and its predictive capabilities. PRISM's average score is 0.9. This high validity translates into an increased return of investment as better hiring decisions and higher quality employees positively affect an organisations' bottom line.

"Dr. Wallace has developed and refined the PRISM suite of instruments over the past ten years to reflect the latest knowledge on neuroscience and it has had a great response and much success in the European market with organizations like HSBC, Procter & Gamble, Maersk and BMW. Many global organisations have set up regional head offices in Asia and considering the growth rates and potential in the region, companies are now busy to turn the HR function from a pure administrative to a strategic one. Effective talent and performance management is a major competitive advantage and a vital component to build sustainable organisations," Ms. MJ Jennings, Director of Active Communication and the Hong Kong agent of PRISM, concludes.

The Hong Kong practitioner certification program will run from 29th - 31st March 2011 and is open for HR professionals, Training and Organisational Development Specialists, Coaches, Recruitment agencies, and Line Managers or others who have responsibility for managing people.
