    In this particular session of User Acceptance Testing, participants will learn about concepts, backgrounds and formal techniques that are necessary for user sign off of the acceptance phase. To develop these skills, participants will learn how to identify and write test scenarios and test cases that include UML and Use Cases. Students will also practice how to quality check requirements documents and use cases, focusing on practical exercises like testing techniques and methods, writing test scenarios and creating UAT plans and strategies.

    During the User Acceptance Testing course, participants start out with the basics, as this workshop is designed for business analysts of all levels. The first session covers what testing is, what purpose it serves and how UAT fits into the project life cycle. It involves participants in hands-on exercises and includes multiple applications such as activity and decision coverage, error guessing and condition coverage. The methods used in testing are discussed in the first session, while the second session takes a closer look at individual methods such as negative testing, regression testing and parallel testing.

    The third session in User Acceptance Testing brings the previously learned lessons together in a cohesive fashion so that students are able to write testing scenarios for UAT, prepare test cases and conditions and conduct a usability testing session. At the end of the User Acceptance Training course, participants will take home PDF materials from what was presented in class, including templates, checklists and a glossary.

    The User Acceptance Testing workshop is divided into three half-day sessions from 1-5pm EST, with training materials presented via the web and live interaction by phone.
