Perfection Architectural Systems contracted to assist in a $75 million school project

  • Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) April 20, 2011 - Perfection Architectural Systems (www.perfectionarch.com), a leader in engineered canopy solutions, is pleased to have contracted with Wharton-Smith, Inc. to complete Oak Ridge High's extensive replacement school and campus expansion project in Orlando, FL.

    The School Board of Orange County has approved a $75 million budget for the project. The project includes a new administration building, media center, gymnasium, auditorium, music suite, and a cafeteria .This is a new facility that features three new three-story classroom buildings with extensive aluminum walkway covers connecting all building on campus. The components have been designed to accommodate current and future student enrollment.

    This project was unique to Perfection Architectural Systems due to the 55,000 square foot of various walkway cover styles and designs, including pitched walkway covers, flat walkway covers, suspended canopies, dining areas, and stairway canopies. The project scope for Perfection Architectural Systems is close to ten times the size of an industry average project. "The opportunity to work with Wharton-Smith, Inc. and Orange County is tremendous," says Rob Jones, Business Development Manager for Perfection Architectural Systems.     The entire project's projection for completion is December 2012. "There is nothing more exciting than building a new school in a well-established community," said Superintendent of schools Ronald Blocker. "Our innovative capital program, which uses sales tax revenues and other sources, provides the district with the financial muscle to build these projects."
