  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) June 29, 2011 - California Healthcare and Education Access Reform (C.H.E.A.R.) has entered into a contract with East Whittier City School District (EWCSD) to open a community-based health clinic that will provide a full scope of health services for children and families. The clinic is located in East Whittier, a federally designated medically underserved area (FDMUA). Still under construction, the clinic is located at 14535 E. Whittier Blvd., Whittier, California and scheduled to open August 1, 2011.

Using Accuracy and Integrity Advisors, Inc.'s (A&I) forward-thinking C.H.E.A.R. model, EWCSD's students-and families-will be able to receive low cost or free health services such as vaccinations, physicals and dental care. Reimbursements for these services will be facilitated through C.H.E.A.R., as a result of unique partnerships so that the school district will encounter little to no cost.

"Two of the most important factors in a child's development are education and health. Being able to access convenient community health services for our students while saving our district money is an immense benefit to us and the community as a whole," says Linda Low, Superintendent of Student Services, East Whittier City School District. "We're looking forward to the clinic opening this summer and taking advantage of the wide range of health services that will be available to our families."

"The clinic combined with the C.H.E.A.R. model will help EWCSD mitigate costs while expanding the scope of health services for their students and their families," says Renee Kaminski, CEO, Accuracy and Integrity Advisors, Inc., and C.H.E.A.R.
