  • Richmond-Petersburg, VA (1888PressRelease) May 04, 2020 - As the leader of the Anacostia Coordinating Council who is the recipient of tax dollars, it is extremely unethical to take such a public stance against a statement supposedly made by a sitting Councilmember of the very ward you are supposed to serve. You, also, are not an epidemiologist nor a public health expert that can be deemed as an authority on the effectiveness of newly created vaccines or medicines and how they affect the black community. We are alarmed that you would risk the reputation of your organization by using the relationships and respect it has garnered to make it a platform for an unprecedented political attack. We don't think that fits under the 501c3 guidelines.

Consider your organization under investigation, as the Office of the Inspector General and the Internal Revenue Service will be notified as you and your staff have moved your organization to a shadow campaign, and are using your platform and money to have a political position while promising your donors that you will remain neutral. We are confident that your non-profit status will be revoked. You have made a mockery of the non-profit community worldwide, who endeavor to do the hard work for the greater good.

    - Concerned Citizens of Ward 8
