    Training the Artists of Tomorrow
As our world becomes more focused on quality of life, the arts have emerged as a major area for jobs and a means of furthering personal expression for those in other lines of work. The Arts Magnets of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools represent a K-12 arts preparation program designed to allow students to explore the arts and then refine their talents, finally focusing on very advanced study in one arts discipline. Using a hands-on approach and "learning by doing," students are taught the arts by both full-time professional teachers certified in their arts disciplines and area and national professionals who teach master classes throughout the academic year.
