  • (1888PressRelease) February 17, 2011 - Northwest Embroidery has reconfigured their production facility to incorporate a new digital garment printing and vinyl cutting department. This addition to their factory will allow for small-run shirt orders to be printed directly in-house, decreasing turnaround time to as little as 24 hours.

Digital T shirt printing is rapidly becoming the hottest technology in the apparel decoration industry. Using water based inks applied directly to the fabric, digital printers can decorate shirts with less mess, less cost, and less set-up times than traditional screenprinting.

In addition to digital t shirt printing, Northwest Embroidery has also added vinyl cutting their range of services, to create individual names and numbers for uniforms. The equipment uses a knife on a plotter to quickly cut the shapes from rolls of vinyl material. They can then be permanently applied to shirts using a standard heat press. In the past these orders needed to be outsourced, increasing the cost and turnaround time.
