  • Bloomington-Normal, IL (1888PressRelease) July 13, 2013 - Early in the year Bloomington/Normal residents were asked to donate gently used cell phones and broken cell phones to Normal Gadgets, the local smartphone repair shop. These donations were divided between accepting them for two groups - Neville House for domestic victims and for Cell Phones for Soldiers. 25 cell phones were refurbished and presented to Neville House this past week.

    Angie Ballantini, who owns Normal Gadgets, along with her husband Terry Ballantini, presented the cell phones to Countering Domestic Violence (CDV)/Neville House. (*See accompanying picture.)

"We understand the importance for communications by providing these cleaned, repaired donated cell phones.     Phones and components that could not be refurbished were dismantled and responsibly recycled to reclaim materials.
