  • (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2010 - Tourism to Peru is steadily growing year on year, and with the power of the web Panama based company Totally Latin America S.A. has worked intensively on creating a new online Peru guide to support the growing interest in Peru tourism.

Peru has always been a destination for the more adventurous traveler, however when in 1983 the ancient city Machu Picchu was declared a UNESCO world Heritage Site, and in 2007 won the coveted prize as one of the 'New 7 Wonders of the World' by the New 7 Wonders Foundation, Peru was catapulted onto the world stage, and ever since it has become more attractive for a wider range of tourists.

Speaking from their offices in Cusco Peru, Paul Jones - Managing Director of Totally Latin America S.A. commented, "We know that anyone wanting travel to Peru is initially concerned about what to expect, and that they want as much information as they can possibly get to understand what Peru has to offer. Information helps to plan, understand and ultimately feel comfortable and safe when you travel to your destination. After many hours of research, writing and programming, we have launched a new online Peru guide to address these issues."

The new website which was launched last month is a Peru guide that details information on all aspects of travel to Peru, including: flights, hotels, tours, regions, main attractions, weather, safety and much more. The website is called The Only Peru Guide.

According to Mincetur (Peru's Ministry of Tourism) since the millennium until present day, tourism has grown year on year by 6-8 percent, and looks set to continue for years to come. The increased levels of tourism have also brought about many high end investments in the region, such as the recent opening of the luxury Orient Express Hotel - El Rio Sagrado, or the sixty million US dollar investment in the construction of a new Marriot hotel in Cusco's historic centre.

Information is key to the development of tourism and the tourist trade in Peru. The newly released Peru guide can be found at http://www.theonlyperuguide.com
