  • (1888PressRelease) October 09, 2013 - The ENTER 2014 Conference, which is organised by the International Federation for Information Technology and Travel and Tourism (IFITT), offers a worldwide and unique forum for attendees from academia, industry, government, and other organisations to actively exchange, share, and challenge state-of-the-art research and industrial case studies on the application of information and communication technologies to travel and tourism. During the conference a number of cutting-edge issues that seek to further drive excellence in eTourism research, development and implementation of innovative tourism technologies will be discussed. Among these, one of the main issues will be the exploration of new approaches to digital content.

    The session 'New Approaches to Digital Contents' will take place on January 22, 2014. It will be moderated by Nick Hall, founder of the Digital Tourism Think Tank, which is an initiative that was founded in partnership with Yahoo! and aims at providing thought leadership to the tourism industry in digital marketing best practice. The session will comprise three presentations by representatives of successful tourism and technology organisations. The first presentation will be given by Tine Thygesen who is the CEO of Everplaces, the online community for sharing travel, food and design.

    Tine will talk about 'Mastering both Timing and Relevance in your Mobile Content Strategy'. Her presentation will be followed by another presentation from the head of direct sales at the world-known web portal Yahoo! Anna Skrzypek, who will talk about the topic: 'Compelling Content and Immersive Brand Experiences to Keep Destinations Relevant in a Changing Digital Landscape'. Finally, the third presentation will be given by Gary Bembridge, an independent marketing and branding consultant with more than 30 years experience in global marketing. He will give insights into 'The Value of Pro-Bloggers and Peer Endorsement as a Central Part to Destination's' Digital Content Strategy'.
