  • Savannah, GA (1888PressRelease) September 22, 2010 - Demere NeSmith, Dealer Principal of NeSmith Chevrolet Buick GMC in Claxton, Georgia announced today that the 2010 NeSmith Truck Rally and competition on September 11, 2010 at the Evans County Wildlife Club Facility in Claxton was a huge success. The event featured family activities including a dueling Monster Truck demonstration, a GM 500HP Crate Engine, a Nascar racecar simulator, The NeSmith Storm Camaro LS9 Supercar and more. The day also consisted of a truck competition where truck owners competed for cash and prizes. NeSmith also had cars and trucks for sale onsite.

    Following last year's success, the annual event drew more than 1500 spectators and truck enthusiasts. Attendees witnessed car crushing by dueling monster trucks "Storm Damage" and "Hurricane Force" as well as experienced the most powerful GM crate engine in existence and a Nascar racecar simulator. The NeSmith Storm Camaro LS9 Supercar and a NeSmith Dirt Late Model Racecar were also on display.

    The truck competition had 46 truck entries and more than $2000 in trophies, cash and prizes were awarded in the following three categories: Best Overall Truck, Best 4-Wheel Drive Truck, Best 2-Wheel Drive Truck and Crowd Favorite. The winners were as follows: Chandler Lloyd of Ridgeland, S.C. won Overall Best Truck and James Niedzwiecki of Pooler, GA won Crowd Favorite. The 2-Wheel Drive Truck competition winners were 1st Place winner, Donald Daniel, Jr. of Richmond Hill, GA, 2nd Place winner, Ruben Blackburn of Metter, GA and 3rd Place winner, Jimmy Walker of Glennville, GA. For the 4-Wheel Drive Truck Competition the winners were Adam Kitchen of Savannah, GA placing 1st, Slade Walker of Richmond Hill, GA placing 2nd and Micah Brown of Statesboro, GA coming in 3rd.

    Demere NeSmith says, "This was such a great event! The car crushing was exciting and the trucks in the truck competition were unbelievable. We loved having our sponsors and community members come out to experience our event and we hope they come out next year as well."
