NeSmith Chevrolet In Claxton Supports Local Youth

Savannah, GA (1888PressRelease) October 29, 2010 - Demere NeSmith, Dealer Principal of Nesmith Chevrolet Buick GMC in Claxton, GA., announced today that the dealership provided the Evans County Recreation Department's (ECRD) youth football league with equipment for players and coaches this season. This was the first year NeSmith has sponsored the youth football league but have previously sponsored the ECRD's baseball leagues.

In support of Claxton's youth, Nesmith Chevrolet provided the ECRD with football kits filled with equipment bags, 5-gallon water coolers, score cards, and t-shirts. One-hundred percent of the donation went directly to participating leagues and they were able to use the funds in any way they chose. Some of the leagues granted scholarships to families who couldn't afford to enroll their children in the league, while others have used the funds to improve fields and equipment.

NeSmith said, "We are proud to be able to help the kids in our community by donating equipment and providing much needed funds for their league. At NeSmith, we like to take part in community events and programs, so this opportunity to sponsor the ECRD youth football league seemed like a perfect match. We enjoyed watching the season progress and seeing how much fun the kids had and we can't wait for next season!"
