  • (1888PressRelease) March 23, 2013 - Leander, TX - As part of Autism Awareness Month during April, a group of autism experts and service providers experts will be offering free tools and programs to help parents of children on the autism spectrum to learn and implement valuable intervention strategies to improve their children's symptoms and behaviors.

This giveaway event was created by Stephani McGirr to celebrate parents of children on the autism spectrum and provide them with valuable tools and resources to improve their daily lives of living with a child on the spectrum. Founder of Nourishing Journey and nutritional consultant for the Autism and ADHD diet, McGirr knows that diet is but one part of the autism puzzle and desired to create a collection of resources for parents to take away the time and hassle of researching therapy and intervention options on their own.

"According to the CDC, 1 in 88 children in the US have autism, a statistic that has increased by 78% in the last decade. This giveaway is intended to be a resource to the growing number of parents overwhelmed by their child's autistic symptoms and let them know that there are effective strategies and methods to help their children," says McGirr. "Even when I first started looking for ways to help my own son on the spectrum, I had very little direction and found myself fumbling my way through things, spending a lot of unnecessary time, energy and money.

As part of the celebration, 13 professionals will be offering a free gift to help parents of children on the autism spectrum learn about and implement effective tools to help their children. The free giveaways include:
    • Common Household Toxins and Their Link to Developmental and Behavioral Problems in Children from Lara Adler
