National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Mikel A. Kendrick as a Professional Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry
Mikel A. Kendrick, Owner of OnTime Calibration, has been selected as a Professional of the Year Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. The selection recognizes Mikel A. Kendrick's commitment to excellence in Calibration.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2014 - Mikel A. Kendrick, who is certified in compressive force measurement and the use of mass for calibrating scales and balances, first began his career in the construction materials testing calibration field in 1995. While in between jobs, a friend of his suggested he take an interview at a local calibration company. After concluding the interview and accepting a position as technician, Mr. Kendrick completed a twelve month apprenticeship course in six months. Eighteen months after starting his new career, Mr. Kendrick's trainer and mentor died from throat cancer. Mr. Kendrick continued working for the company for an additional 12 years.
In 2008, Mr. Kendrick decided to open his own business, OnTime Calibration. With the experience he had gained over the past 13 years, he was ready to run his own one-man operation. Assuming all responsibilities of the company, Mr. Kendrick handles everything from paperwork and phone calls to scheduling and continuing service for clients.
"During my apprenticeship I was trained to service and calibrate many different brands and types of testing equipment used in the construction materials testing field," Mr. Kendrick explained. "Since the inception of my company, I have had to continue learning about new testing equipment offered by many companies and new calibration equipment used in servicing and calibrating them. I owe any expertise I possess to my trainer and mentor who took the time to ensure my knowledge base would be ever expanding in my field."
Mr. Kendrick completed a workshop and symposium for force measurement and its uncertainties offered by the National Conference of Standards Laboratories. He is also an active member of his local American Legion. His expectations are to continue growing his business in hopes that, perhaps, his two sons may someday take over the reins.
