  • Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) July 11, 2014 - Critical public policy issues and questions continue to face New Jersey's commercial real estate and business communities, and their ability to do business. To address those questions, NAIOP New Jersey has slated a program titled Regulatory, Legislative & Legal Update for Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at The Bloustein School Auditorium in New Brunswick.

What's the latest on the proposed COAH rules? How will changes in the Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL) impact project reviews and costs? How can funding for New Jersey's transportation infrastructure be stabilized? How will the Waterfront Commission impact investment in the port region? What incentives, funding and tax credits are available for projects involving a cleanup, new tenants or jobs? What's the latest on navigating local redevelopment obstacles, permit reviews, inspection fees, liquor license reform to spur redevelopment and mixed use, and building code changes in the wake of Hurricane Sandy?

Speakers who will address these questions and more will include John Terry of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs; Phoebe Sorial of The Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor; Robert Briant, Jr., of the Utility & Transportation Contractors Association of New Jersey; Kevin Moore of Sills Cummis & Gross; Susan Karp of Cole Schotz Meisel Forman & Leonard; Omer Ahmed of Russo Development; Meryl Gonchar of Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis; George Jacobs of Jacobs Enterprises; Brett Jenkins of LCOR; and Anthony Pizzutillo of Smith Pizzutillo.
