- Gainesville, FL (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2014 - Seeking to replace incumbent county commissioner, Lee Pinkoson, new candidate Mozzerella T. Beagle is also a lifetime Gainesville resident. Founder of the new Beagletarian Party, this candidate doesn't concentrate on the same issues as those other parties do--and dupe voters with unrealistic promises. Instead, Mozzerella has a simple campaign slogan, "One leg up on the competition."
This exceptional candidate is a natural for the job as he was responsible for the fertilization of several Alachua County lawns, which shows his environmental side. The 35-pound beagle is a stately ten years of age and is in excellent physical condition. He is the proud recipient of the Cleanest Dog in Alachua County title for two years running, and was top dog in his home-based obedience school.
Currently he generously shares his home with almost a dozen felines and humans. He has traveled throughout Florida on a goodwill tour and has seen the Southernmost Point of the Continental United States.
He "applauds Alachua county's no-kill animal shelters and suggests knocking down the county commission office and turning it into a fully functional dog park." He also suggests, "Putting the K-9s in charge of all units. And that the human officers take 15-minute-long breaks in local parks." Furthermore, this candidate vows, "To be a volunteer and return any proposed salary back to the taxpayers."
