  • (1888PressRelease) December 11, 2010 - CIIE IIM Ahmadabad : The 107th Chapter of the Global phenomenon Mobile Monday has kicked off in an emphatic fashion. MoMo Ahmedabad event saw a vibrant representation from all members of the eco-system. The powerful speaker panel ensured that all the 102 Mobile Enthusiasts had an enriching evening. The topic of the Inaugural Event was "Mobile Ecosystem & Trends In Gujarat".

    Mobile ecosystem is fast expanding in Gujarat with numerous mobile companies and developers mushrooming across the state. MOMO Ahmedabad will provide a much needed platform to the Mobile community of the state of Gujarat to share the current trends and practices in Mobile Domain. The first speaker of the evening was Mr. Kesava Reddy, Founder MoMo Bangalore, who is running this chapter for 3 years. He told us about the importance of such a platform for the mobile community and how it is useful for IT firms as well as the Developers as an individual.

    The next speaker for the evening was a very well known personality Shri Devang Nanavati, Partner - Nanavati & Sons and the Finalist of Lead India contest by Times of India. He spoke on the "Impact of Mobile on Business & Life". Though a non technical person he explained the Impact of Mobile phenomenon on the life of an Individual and a business entity in a very prolific manner.

    Then it was the turn of Mr. Jay Ruparel, Executive Director & COO, Azure Knowledge Corporation. The Techno Entrepreneur spoke about the Global Trends in the Mobile Industry today. He presented some interesting facts and figures like, on average how much time a person spends on Mobile and specifically on social media sites. He described the Opportunities and Challenges facing the Mobile Industry and how one can en-cash the opportunities and overcome the challenges.

    The next speaker was Shri Anand Virani, Senior Business Development Manager at Qualcomm India Pvt. Ltd. Having 12 years of wireless industry experience across the industry value-chain he was an ideal speaker for the event. Mr. Anand virani portrayed a picture of wireless Industry in the light of 3G rollout in India. He also gave some future insights about how the Mobile Industry is going to shapeup after the 3G rollout.

    Then the last but surely not the least Shri Ravi Saxena, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat gave his insights about The Mobile Ecosystem â€" Vision For Future. He described the importance of innovation and localization in creating value addition. According to him, DNA is the core area for growth of mobility - Devices, Networks and Apps. Devices are increasing their penetration via aggressive pricing, smart features and good distribution. 3G Network is here. Cloud is creating opportunities. And finally, Apps are everywhere - innovative, personal and thoughtful. The Perfect Storm is here. There could be lot of opportunities leveraging cloud based delivery of services on mobile. "This is the era of innovation and innovative thinking is at its best when it is done in your own language." Shri Ravi Saxena added.
