  • (1888PressRelease) November 14, 2011 - There is a pretty big band by the name of 'Mojobone' out of Seattle, so the band 'Mojobone' (of Anchorage, Alaska) will be changing their name.

Buck385 was formed at Ernie's Old Time Saloon of Sitka, Alaska in 2002. What started out as an open mic brought the core members of the group (Ty Brill, Dan Littlefield, and Leif Kahal) together to form the Rock n Roll sensation known as Buck385! The group was honored with many guest performers (Hank Moore, Dale Brandenburger, John Hunt, Jered Gallanin, Ron Cunningham, Nick Gallanin, the Ashtray Guy, to name but a few) and would eventually form the group 'Psychedelic Shamrock' with Amber Jasso for an exclusive St. Patty's Day show that forever changed the way we look at green beer! ...only to be devastated by the loss of their lead guitar player, Ty Brill, in 2005 when he moved to Anchorage with his wife Kim. Dan Littlefield went on to form the group ' Circle Hook '. ..Currently two of the original members of Buck385, Ty Brill and Leif Kahal, are living in Anchorage and have joined forces with Bass Guitarist Dave Nathanson to form the group The Mojo Bone! Should you encounter The Mojo Bone, it is recommended that you buy them at least one drink. Don't play dead as this will arouse aggression and bad things may happen.
