  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) March 25, 2021 - Marty Haggard will be performing at Mill Town Music Hall on Saturday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. (EST). Marty toured as a child with his father Merle Haggard and had the unique opportunity to spend time with other country greats like Bob Wills, Lefty Frizzell, and Johnny Cash to name a few. Rising country artist Jason Earl will be the opening act. Mill Town Music Hall focuses on wholesome, family-friendly music and events and is located conveniently off I-20 in Bremen (1031 Alabama Ave).

Inspired by the legendary artists, Marty began touring with his own band in 1979. Between 1981 and 1987, he charted five singles on the Hot Country Songs charts. He was a nominee for best new male vocalist. Marty’s love for his dad and his music led him to create A Tribute to Merle Haggard “My Dad”. Marty recorded the first album of the tribute with 15 Haggard classics, and he eventually took the show on the road throughout the country plus Canada, Ireland, Scotland, and England. “The apple never falls too far from its tree,” Marty’s lyric says in his song “Apple”.

Jason Earl, an award winning singer/songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee who now resides in Georgia, is the opening act. Jason won Traditional Artist of the Year at the 2015 Georgia Country Awards. Jason draws heavily from his own real life experiences for his songwriting.
