  • (1888PressRelease) May 03, 2012 - Microfluidics expert Dolomite is pleased to announce its collaboration with LioniX B.V., a leading company specialised in applications for integrated optics and microfluidics incorporating a wide range of surface functionalization and IO sensing systems.

    The agreement between the two companies establishes the following four core areas of collaboration:

    • LioniX B.V. will become a distributor for Dolomite's world leading standard products, including microfluidic chips, pumps, connectors, valves and accessories;

    • LioniX B.V. will adopt Dolomite's Multiflux® standard in their future chip designs allowing them to be used with Dolomite's industry leading connectors and interfaces which will provide customers with a flexible, cost-effective and time-efficient solution for reliable multi-way fluidic connections;

    • Microfluidic Consultancy: Both companies will combine their outstanding expertise in microfluidics and microfabrication offering customers a wide range of innovative processes such as Deep Reactive-Ion Etching (DRIE) of fused silica down to an etch depth of 50µm, PECVD depositions of silicon oxides and silicon nitrides, as well as the integration of metal electrodes and insulators, which can be incorporated into customised microfluidic chips and devices;

    • Customers will have access to standard products developed by LioniX B.V. via Dolomite's microfluidic web shop.
