The red carpet begins at 6 PM and will be followed by a viewing of the film and a Q&A hosted by Executive Producer, Jennifer Gelfer. After receiving the "Best Feature Film" award at the Maryland International Film Festival and the "Spirit of Freedom: Narrative Award" at the Bahamas Film Festival, Showing Roots will celebrate the announcement of its Lifetime airdate of May 26, 2016 at 10 PM ET/PT at a cocktail reception sponsored by Deep Eddy Vodka and Clear Storm Media Group.
