    Melanie Black Dubis, a partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, handles commercial disputes for clients in North Carolina state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and arbitration proceedings. Dubis leads the firm's Antitrust and Business Torts practice group. A Phi Beta Kappa, Dubis was a John W. Wade Scholar at Vanderbilt University Law School, earning her JD in 1995 after earning a B.A. with honors from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

    While at Vanderbilt University, she was the senior student writing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
