  • (1888PressRelease) October 01, 2016 - mCruncher releases version 1.4.0 of Furiend. On the 12th of August, mCruncher successfully launched their pet app, Furiend into the app store for the first time. Keeping in line with the core reason for the development of this app; to constantly update the app with new features, they have released this latest version.

Davethu Jacob, CEO of mCruncher confirmed that in this release, they have tackled compatibility issues and are proud that the app is compatible with the latest iOS 10 release.

These are some of the updates they are providing with the latest release:
    Compatibility with iOS 10
The team has been working on the changes that were needed to make for a smooth transition to the next major release by Apple, iOS 10. This has no impact on the UI or the user experience, instead just some necessary code changes.

    Bug fixes
After upgrading devices to iOS 10, the development team found some small bugs with the UI in Furiend. These bugs have also been fixed and this fix is being provided in this version.

    Revamped the Medication section
The Medication tab that was introduced from version 1.1.3 has now been renamed to Health. Inside this tab is currently the list with Medicine and Vaccine. Previously, Medicine and Vaccine were displayed in one view. This has now been revamped and they are now have their own separate views. Now, users can view the next Medication/Vaccine due date from the list of Medicine/Vaccine instead of going into the specific Medicine/Vaccine view. Also included now is a list of a few known core vaccines for dog to be autosuggested while typing.

Previously users were required to click the respective Medicine or Vaccine to know when it was due to be given. Now, it can be viewed when the Medicine or Vaccine is due to be given to pets. That way, users will be always aware of the due date directly from the list of medicine or vaccine.

Davethu reiterated that as they began developing Furiend, they had a vision of ensuring regular updates. They aim to continue with the practice of regularly delivering updates to all our users. This has helped his family to manage their pet German Shepherds food and nutritional needs and they hope that it will help other pet lovers too.
