McManis Faulkner's Ruby Kazi Receives YWCA Silicon Valley's TWIN Award
Ruby Kazi, an attorney with McManis Faulkner, a leading Northern California trial firm, has been honored by the YWCA Silicon Valley with a 2014 Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award, one of the most prestigious awards given by local and regional YWCAs nationwide.

Kazi joins a group of honorees selected from Silicon Valley technology, legal, communications, non-profit and healthcare organizations that have acted as successful role models for other women in business, exhibited top-level responsibility in a major functional role and have had a substantial impact on the organization's growth, profitability and innovation.

In her practice, Kazi focuses on business litigation, trust and probate litigation, civil rights and criminal defense matters. She represents individuals and businesses in all stages of a case, in both state and federal courts. Kazi has experience obtaining favorable results for her clients through mediation and trial, as well as at the appellate level. She also assists in non-profit corporate formation.
Kazi serves as president of the Asian Law Alliance (ALA), a non-profit organization that provides legal services to Santa Clara County's low income population, particularly within the Asian/Pacific Islander community. She is also the founder of Lady Lawyers for Lunch, an informal group that meets quarterly to allow women attorneys to exchange ideas, discuss balance and increase their networks. A member of the American Inns of Court, the Honorable William A. Ingram Inn, Kazi served as a director and officer of the GiveLight Foundation, Inc. and on the Constitution Committee for the Muslim Community Association. She earned her J.D. from Drake University Law School (2003) and her B.S. from Northwestern University (2000).
